Play me jeans

If you like your denim plenty embellished, you're going to like Play Me Jeans. The Los Angeles-based label jazzes up their denim, without venturing too far into that early 2000s trend of bleached, ripped, bedazzled, embroidered and too far.

Play Me's spring/summer 2011 collection covers the staple short-shorts and skinny jeans – with studs and a little fraying – but also offers up wide-leg pants, patterned denim, crochet sweaters, slouchy singlets and a pair of flares that seems to be channeling the '90s (when the '90s was channeling the late '60s). There's a pair of jeans in the collection that seems to be both paneled and studded in sections and still isn't too far.

The collection is a balance between current and vintage styles and while it won't please everybody, there's bound to be a piece or two in the lookbook that does. (One of those items might be the Jesus Loves You car.)
